Situated at the heart of Kowloon and boasting direct connectivity to the Kai Tak MTR station, AIRSIDE is a 177,670 square metre, 47-storey mixed-use landmark seamlessly integrated into the area’s transportation networks. The development comprises a 32-storey Grade A office building and a multi-storey shopping mall, bringing together a diverse selection of dining, retail, and immersive art and cultural experiences all conveniently housed under one roof.
The design concept of AIRSIDE pays homage to the legacy of the textile industry, echoing the transformation of Hong Kong from textile manufacturing to real estate development, finance, and technology. The design, from the landscape to the façade, massing and interiors, evokes aspects of textiles and tailoring as qualities of fabrics through design moves. The building mass comprises five interconnected volumes that gradually step up from the Kai Tak River, lending the tower an inviting presence at ground level. Landscaped plazas ring the architecture, further integrating it into the surroundings and creating an engaging pedestrian realm.
Every sustainable design detail has been carefully crafted in line with The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, which makes AIRSIDE the first building in Hong Kong to receive seven most recognized green and smart building certifications.
