The Warehouse Teenage Club (Former Aberdeen Police Station)

The Former Aberdeen Police Station, built in 1891, is one of the few surviving police station buildings constructed in the 19th century and is currently a Grade II historic building.

The main block is two storeys high. In the past, the ground floor housed the report room, offices, and barracks, while the first floor served as quarters for married inspectors. The annex block contained the mess hall and laundry room, and the low block provided accommodation for single police officers. A later addition housed extra barracks. The complex is constructed with red bricks and features a distinctive blend of Chinese and Western styles, with timber roof trusses and a roof covered in traditional Chinese tiles.

The Warehouse Teenage Club moved into the premises in 1995, revitalising the originally vacant complex into a youth arts, culture, and creativity hub. The guided tour will focus on the historical and cultural aspects of the Aberdeen community, exploring the heritage space of the Warehouse Teenage Club.
