【OPEN STUDIO】Wu Chi Kai's Neon Studio

Wu Chi Kai first encountered neon lights during the summer when he was 17. While still a student, following the advice of his father, who worked as a neon light installer, he joined him for a summer job. This marked the beginning of his 40 years career in the industry. During the heyday of neon lights, many iconic neon signs across Hong Kong, such as neon wall of the Bank of China Tower and the semi-circular spherical neon installation on the rooftop of Langham Place, were made by Wu. He now focuses on doing three-dimensional neon lights and exploring new directions of neon, hoping to keep the Hong Kong neon light legacy alive.
