The Siberian

O&O Studio reimagines a Central midrise heritage building as The Siberian, paying homage to the glittering heyday of Siberian Fur Store. A light hand guided the minimally invasive design, updating the modernist structure for contemporary usage with spaces rich in character. Ascending to the gallery floor through the broadway theatre inspired entrance, a presentation delves into O&O’s design concept and the Siberian Fur Store's history, while a typical office floor reveals functional, contemporary workspaces, using natural light and open layouts. Finally, the journey completes with the historical narratives in the exhibition on the first floor and the fur display on the second. As you exit, we hope you appreciate the blend of heritage and modernity, a space reflecting Hong Kong’s character.
