MEI WAH INDUSTRIAL CENTRE BUILT IN
1986

Nestled in Mei Wah Industrial Centre in To Kwa Wan, abettertomorrow is housed in a commercial and industrial block known for its striking red wall painting and bold, oversized white lettering. Featuring a spacious, open layout with a distinct visual identity, the site is a recognisable setting featured in the classic Hong Kong cinema masterpiece A Better Tomorrow.

Located on the 6th floor in Block A, the space now serves as a shared studio between independent art space NuDD and architect and interior design firm MLKK. Operating as a creative hub for artists and enthusiasts alike, it hosts regular drawing sessions and artistic exchanges within an open, collaborative atmosphere. In addition, the studio currently displays the historical boundary/lot stones salvaged from the redevelopment of the Civil Servants' Co-operative Building Society (CBS) site at the nearby Shing Tak Street / Ma Tau Chung Road (URA Project CBS-1:KC). Archived by the Urban Studies Institute, these artifacts root the contemporary studio practice in Hong Kong’s living architectural heritage and neighborhood history.
