2026

Based on the northern slopes of Tai Mo Shan, Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden (KFBG) originated in 1956 with the Kadoorie Agricultural Aid Association (KAAA), upholding the spirit of "Helping People Help Themselves" to assist poor local farmers before evolving into a conservation and education centre in 1995.

Celebrating its 70th anniversary, KFBG presents a GUIDED TOUR themed “Awakening of Memory”, leading participants through the Lower Area to explore former pigsties, duck houses, and the old milestone on Lam Kam Road, which bore witness to the transformation of Hong Kong’s agricultural society and landscape. Another highlight is the newly inaugurated Jockey Club Nature Conservation Centre (JCNCC). Its architectural design conforms to the terraced hillside topography of the site and adopts the concept of a “landscraper” to blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment, incorporating green architectural elements such as bird-friendly glass and eco-friendly gabion walls to demonstrate how built spaces can harmoniously coexist with nature and tangibly promote biodiversity. Participants will also enjoy a special arrangement to visit the Wild Animal Rescue Centre (WARC), which is usually closed to the public to learn about hands-on rescue and rehabilitation work while exploring how citizens can collectively support and protect our native wildlife in harmony.
