Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre

Maggie's Cancer Care Centre is an independent charitable organisation that provides free services to cancer patients, their families, and caregivers. Located adjacent to the Oncology Department of Tuen Mun Hospital, the Centre was founded by Maggie Keswick Jencks. It aims to support users through their cancer journey within a healing architectural environment.

Designed by the acclaimed architect Frank Gehry, the building is built around a pond, seamlessly blending nature and space. The interior features coloured rooms and a kitchen, connected to the outdoor views by bridges and terraces. The kitchen serves as a social hub encouraging interaction, while separate rooms provide tranquil spaces for counselling.

A professional team offers information, emotional support, and stress management services in a warm and friendly manner, creating a home-like, comfortable environment that helps users set aside their patient identity and live in the present. Maggie’s Centre is open to all those affected by cancer, with no appointment or referral required.
