Koon Man Space

Koon Man Space (KMS) is a community-oriented photography resource centre operated by the Hong Kong International Photo Festival (HKIPF). Nestled in the scenic valley of Chuen Lung, KMS focuses on merging Hong Kong and international contemporary photography with the vibrant heritage of a 500-year-old Hakka village. Through exhibitions, public events, and workshops, regularly showcasing photography, film, and video art, KMS carries the dialogue on contemporary photography beyond urban centers and into the countryside. Also, KMS illuminates Chuen Lung’s rich cultural roots and ecological surroundings. Core initiatives—such as the Photography Salon, Photobook Corner, further reinforce KMS’s commitment to expanding creative frontiers while honoring the village’s enduring legacy.
