Indra and Harry Banga Gallery, Lau Ming Wai Academic Building, City University of Hong Kong

The Lau Ming Wai Academic Building at City University of Hong Kong is hailed as the 'Green Bridge', linking the upper and lower parts of the campus. The design was guided by four principles: connecting student residences with the campus, preserving the verdant environment on the hillside, creating a landmark that harmonises with the backdrop of Lion Rock, and enhancing pedestrian and air circulation spaces. The building features multifunctional areas such as sky gardens and stepped plazas that foster social and learning environments.

Established in 2016 within the Lau Ming Wai Academic Building, the Indra and Harry Banga Gallery is dedicated to promoting the university's world-class reputation for innovation through forward-thinking and interdisciplinary exhibitions and educational activities. The gallery integrates art and technology, championing inspirational, interactive, and innovative learning experiences that enhance cultural innovation, transform research, and foster community engagement. The Indra and Harry Banga Gallery will host the exhibition 'Prototyping' in late 2025.
