HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity

The HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity (referred to as ‘the School’), planned and operated by the Hong Kong Contemporary Culture Centre, opened in September 2006. Initially, it was Hong Kong's first Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) secondary school offering comprehensive creative education at the senior secondary level. Later, it expanded to include a junior secondary section in the 2021/22 school year, offering a full six-year college learning experience. The School aims to nurture the young generation for Hong Kong's creative cultural industries and artistic development, using art, media, and design studies as its focus, interwoven with humanities subjects.

The campus is a work by the architectural firm Rocco Design Architects Ltd.. It features an open-air Creative Promenade at its centre, which serves as both the main thoroughfare and a potential performance stage, with nearby steps acting as audience seating. The learning spaces have a flexible layout, with platforms of varying sizes distributed across different floors, and the campus also includes a black box theatre. The architecture is deliberately designed to look seemingly unfinished, encouraging students to use their creativity in utilising the school spaces.
